Magnifici Misteri (Magnificent Mysteries)

2012

Magnificent Mysteries is an experimental video resuming three times and three different subjects: the first two the Second War, the third one belongs to the present. On July 1944, German troops crossed Italy, after 8 September 1943 without a government, an army, raiding families in the countryside and in the city. The background is the kidnapping by German soldiers of Rosetta, a horse belonging to my grandparents’ family. The inspiration started from the extensive research of Rosetta that my uncles Alessio and Dario did following the Germans for more than 100 km. Magnificent Mysteries is a chase between people from different ages, but same places.
